I personally look around the Minecraft Community in search of something cool which could be transformed into a similar Minecraft Feature; I also take into consideration suggestions and ideas from you, potential players of this project!
If your suggestion is more of a concept, it might be developed and your name will appear in-game or around the mod's pages!
If you think that your creation can add value to the project, suggest it via the feedback form. With both parts consents, a development plan can be arranged.
